I own a 64 Cortez. I will put in the serial number soon. It had already been modified with a 360cid upgrade. Due to a lack of care and maintenance (water & rat damage) the interior was in poor condition and had to be removed the only salvageable interior pieces were the overhead fiberglass compartments. Modifications in the future are, electronic ignition system, throttle body injection, intake manifold, hydro-boost brake upgrade or electronic master cylinder, (dependent on ease of installation and brake force), GMC 16″ x 8″ OEM aluminum wheels, custom drive shafts, tight fit headers and upgraded exhaust system, and possibly removing rear springs to install an air bag setup. Our plan is to install a bear bones camper interior and fabricate a roof rack/sleeping platform on the roof with solar panels to charge the alternate battery system, an outdoor solar heated shower, a removable gas grill allowing us to BBQ outside mounted to the back bumper and installing a side shade on the passenger side.
