Hello all. I’m in the early stages of researching Clark Cortez motorhomes for purchase and had a few questions regarding the seats/seatbelts…

-Does the front passenger bench seat have seat belts?
-Do the dinette seats have seatbelts? Also, does this depend on the model year? I would appreciate pics of the seats belts if anyone has them.

-If the seats do not have seatbelts, has anyone ever installed seatbelts and is there an appropriate place to bolt them through the frame?
-Has anyone ever attempted to install child car seats in their Cortez?

    Separate but related question…
-Are there specific years or floor plans that were offered with a bench seat/bed conversion toward the back of the motorhome where the closet is on most models (across from the bathroom)?

    I appreciate your time.

    Thanks,

    Pete

Hi Pete! I can’t speak for the Kent models, but the Clark front seats originally came with lap belts. The rear seats did not have any belts, but it is easy enough to add them (lap belts). There are also seat belt conversion kits you can buy online that will allow you to add 3 point harnesses.

The Clark models generally had three configurations, the Executour, which was designed to be more of a mobile office; The standard model with sleeping for 4; and the ambulance. There is a rear bunk model, but as far as I know only came in the Kent models when they eliminated the rear door (72 and later).
